ABOUT
BETWEEN MACHINE AND MOMENT

Music & visuals since 2011
Founded by Mike MyCoon and Frank Feyst, Sonnenscheinquartett works at the centre of analogue electronic sound and visual art. Since 2018, the collective has explored raw modular acid, hypnotic arrangements and layered clouds of sound – made for connoisseurs and devoted listeners.

Raw and unfiltered
We have existed since 2011. Since 2018, Sonnenscheinquartett has devoted itself to the opaque terrain of analogue modular acid, continually stretching the limits of its own taste. Complex melodies, surreal video art and a drive to move experimental sound generation forward define our path.
TIMELINE
Signals along the way
Founding
The starting point: Sonnenscheinquartett emerges as a shared space for electronic music, visuals and spontaneous experiments.
Sunschine
An early session of bright textures, direct sequencing and the interplay that would later shape the collective.
Berlin
A Berlin moment from the early archive – compact, urban and a small marker in the collective development.
Live Clubbing with Visuals
Sound and moving image are conceived together: a live clubbing session in which music and visuals respond directly to one another.
Urban City Beats
Urban rhythms, recurring patterns and visual impulses condense into a chapter of their own.
Elb Deich Beats
A brief trip to the dyke: electronic sketches between a wide horizon, rhythm and northern German air.
Hude Bridge Live
A live session in an unusual place – direct, improvised and carried by the tension of the moment.
Ibiza Trance
A small, luminous detour in the archive: traces of trance, warm sequences and extended movement.
Fog Cellar Beats
Dense cellar air, reduced beats and a sound idea that slowly emerges from the fog.
Berlin Underground
A darker Berlin marker with rough structures, a direct pulse and concentrated club energy.
Jerusalem
An atmospheric travel impulse translated into textures, layers and a restrained rhythmic framework.
Berlin Berghain
A compact Berlin archive moment between concrete, night and the precise energy of electronic club music.
Doepfer Session
Modular systems take centre stage: patch by patch, sequences, friction and controlled chance emerge.
December Special
A winter turning point and the beginning of the collective’s distinctly rougher modular acid phase.
Moving
New rooms change the perspective on the existing setup and create space for new connections and ways of working.
Sweden 1 Ängelholm Beats
The first Ängelholm chapter combines Nordic space with direct beats and begins a recurring series.
Sweden 2 Ängelholm Prélude
The second chapter becomes quieter and preparatory: a prelude of textures, anticipation and slow development.
Sweden 3 Ängelholm Revison
The return to Ängelholm revisits familiar material, reorganises it and opens the series to another perspective.
Sweden 4 Transtrand
Transtrand expands the Sweden archive with a new place, new images and a spatial sound of its own.
Sweden 5 Ängelholm Remastered
The fifth chapter gathers motifs from the previous journeys and revisits Ängelholm with a sharpened, remixed perspective.
